Tam was born in Newton, Massachusetts months after his parents immigrated to America from Hue, Vietnam in 1981. His father opened the family’s first restaurant, Pho Hoa, in Dorchester in 1992.

 

In addition to Pho Hoa, other businesses in Tam's portfolio include Pho Linh, Chashu Ramen + Izakaya, Reign Drink Lab and Reign Cafe.

 

When not bouncing between the restaurants, Tam enjoys traveling with his family and playing ice hockey..
