Khanh “Aiden” Nguyễn was born in Việt Nam and has been living in Dorchester since 1998. As a queer Vietnamese American activist, Aiden uses art as a platform to unite and uplift his community. He is best known for his community organizing and creative design work with Vănguard (www.vanguardzine.com), an international LGBTQ Vietnamese publication, and the Queer Vietnamese Film Festival (www.qvff.org). His work has been featured in exhibitions throughout the world and was recently archived by the Library of Congress. In addition, Aiden has spoken at the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and at universities across the U.S about his transnational activism.
Outside of his organizing work, Aiden is an educator and mentor dedicated to building a more equitable world for all young people.
